Advice on Canadian immigration and citizenship matters, provided by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC).

Video meeting. The fee is credited in full against the professional fee of a later retainer agreement.

A walk through the immigration application forms and the online portal you filled in yourself: whether the required fields are complete, whether answers ended up in the wrong place, and whether a submission step was missed.

Video meeting. Provided by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC). Immigration applications only. Covers the filing process only, not the content of the supporting documents. This fee is not credited against other services.

One document, checked point by point against what a document of that type needs to say: what is missing, and what reads inconsistently or in a way you did not intend. You also get the document redrafted, as an editable file ready to be issued and signed. Employment reference letters are the most common, and for those the classification under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) is included.

Deliverable: two files, a written opinion as a PDF and a revised draft of the document as an editable Word file (point by point comparison, wording problems, and the redraft itself; for an employment letter, classification reasoning and the official duty comparison as well). Three business days.

Once the document has been revised and issued, the same document is reviewed again against what was delivered the first time.

Available only to clients who have already purchased the document review. Three business days.

Matters within the scope of practice of an Ontario licensed paralegal: landlord and tenant, small claims, provincial offences and similar. Immigration applications handled under the RCIC licence are not included; refugee claims, immigration appeals and IRB hearings are carried on under the paralegal licence — see the legal services page. Suited to a situation where you already have one specific question and need an answer. The thirty minutes go to that question, with no review of documents.

This is for when you are not sure how the matter should be handled, what it is likely to come to, or even where to start. Those questions cannot be answered without reading the materials first, and thirty minutes will not cover them. Send the materials in and receive a written assessment you can act on yourself.

No meeting. Regulated by the Law Society of Ontario (LSO). One assessment covers one opposing party and one procedural track. This fee is not credited against any other service.

The assessment sets out: which forum or tribunal has jurisdiction, which procedure applies and which form starts it; what you may claim, how the range of amounts is arrived at and which factors move it; the positions the other side is most likely to take, which of your materials answer them and where the record is empty; the limitation periods and deadlines that apply; the courses open to you, what each requires and what each depends on; and, if you proceed on your own, the steps that follow. Whether to act, and which course to take, are yours to decide.
